Recertification Courses
National Lifeguard Recertification You maintain a current lifeguard status, by recertifying your NLS award at a recertification clinic within 2 years of certification (or last recertification). This clinic includes both classroom & water components so candidates should bring pen, paper, bathing suit & certification card. Red Cross Instructor Recertification You maintain a current Red Cross Instructor status, by recertifying your Red Cross Instructor award at a recertification clinic within 2 years of certification (or last recertification). This clinic includes both classroom & water components so candidates should bring pen, paper, bathing suit & certification card. Lifesaving Society Instructor Recertification You maintain a current lifesaving instructor status, by recertifying your instructor award(s) within 2 years of certification (or last recertification). Credit system: The Lifesaving Society's recertification "credit system" recognizes individual needs and interests by encouraging instructors to learn and improve through continuing education and professional development. Instructors must earn 3 credits within the 2-year certification period, by participating in courses, clinics and training programs & recording them on their recertification credit “card”. Completed card should then be mailed with certification fee to the Lifesaving Society. Check out our brochure to find a course!
